Panja Pojiew

09 April 2017 Author :

Panja Pojiew, engraver from Thailand, has moved his first steps in the art of engraving in 2010, when he started to learn the scrimshaw technique.

During this period, as in his country there are no engraving schools and there wasn't the opportunity to learn this art, he has taught himself the various techniques, including the bulino engraving, but also thanks to the suggestions and information acquired through the Steve Lindsey and Sam Alfano' forum.
Today Panja is a full-time engraver, and all of his works are made entirely by hand, with the use of various techniques (scrimshaw, banknotes, strip, and so on) and on every kind of material.
In a short time he has achieved incredible results, indeed in 2014 his works are featured in "The World's Greatest Knife Book" by Joe Kertzman.
