Petronzio Piero

21 July 2014 Author :

Piero Petronzio, accredited member of Italian CIC since 2012 and Master since 2016, owes his passion for blades to his father, a lover of modern history and collector of military weapons.

In 2011 he began making his first knives, primarily tactical knives. Piero in fact prefers fighter or utility knives, inspired by the great American masters. All his knives are made by stock removal and, currently, Piero follows all the phases of the creation of his projects and, with the help and advice of many knifemakers friends, he succeeded in a short time to achieve good results in his creations.
For his blades he prefers stainless steels such as CPM 154CM, RWL-34, 440C but also D2; lately also carbon steels, such as K720 and C70, are starting to take hold in his works, in which often combines sandblasting and then coating with Gun Kote and black chromium plating.

For handles he has no particular preferences, but always tries to match the blade to the right material; the important thing is that it is of excellent quality and fair use for which the knife was born.
Piero also realizes the sheaths of his knives, generally using leather or kydex, depending on the kind of knife that will be associated with.
