Benjamin Russel Tendick (BRT knives) was always fond of manual work and has always enjoyed creating various objects, but in late 2010 he discovered he had the soul of knife maker.

Until then he had never even looked at a custom knife but, as soon as he discovered this world, his passion was ignited, and he began a journey that has led him to rapid success. He has appeared in numerous magazines such as Blade and Tactical Knives.
Although he only works part time, in a relatively short time he has become a well-known name in the knife world, and has created various blades types, such as bowies and traditional style, Japanese Style, modern and tactical knives, tomahawks, and also kitchen knives.

Everything he makes is his own invention: knives, heat treatments, sheaths, photos. He makes them all at home. He makes knives by stock removal and uses both carbon or stainless steel. His favourite steels to use are 1075, 1095, 5160, L6, 14c28n, and Elmax. For handle material, he uses exotic and highly figured woods, but also a wide variety of synthetics.
Ben's desire is to become a full-time knife maker, and to continue to cultivate this passion with the same emotion as when he started.
