Bertini Andrea

13 April 2015 Author :

Hobbyist knife maker since 2013, Andrea Bertini has approached the world of handcrafted knives as a challenge against himself.

After visiting in 2012 the Custom Knife Show in Livorno, came to life his interest and his passion for knives, pushing him to study and learn the knives construction techniques, with the help of knife makers such as Denis Mura and Milko Di Paco.
Since the beginning, he has oriented his production towards bowie and fighter knives, preferring their forms and devoting himself to the study and implementation of these types of blades.
The steels generally used by Andrea are RWL34, ATS34, 440C, becut, D2, SLEIPNER, SW21, Bohler N540, while he uses for the handles both natural and synthetic materials.

Andrea wrote us, with great humility, that he couldn't say much more about himself and his accomplishments as he has a long way to go and much more to learn about knife making, but we note with pleasure that he is a good starting point and we do our best wishes!
